About Us

Welcome to the Purugganan Laboratory at the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology at New York University in New York and in Abu Dhabi.

Research in our laboratory is focused on evolutionary, ecological and functional genomics of plants.

Our work is funded by the National Science Foundation Plant Genome Research Program, the Zegar Family Foundation and the NYU Abu Dhabi Research Institute.

The laboratory is also affiliated with the NYU Institute for the Study of the Ancient World.

New York

The NYU laboratory is located on the 6th floor of the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, at 12 Waverly Place in the historic neighborhood of Greenwich Village in New York City, three blocks east of Washington Square Park. The nearest subway stops are 8th St. [ N, Q, R, W ] and West 4th St. [A, C, E, B, D, F, V ].

Abu Dhabi

The lab expanded in 2012 to New York University Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The expansion is part of the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology in the Experimental Research Building at NYUAD, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
